Health:

Medical Facilities
St. Clare Medical Center serves Montgomery County as a 120-bed, acute-care facility with services ranging from maternity care to emergency to diagnostic imaging. St. Clare has 127 physicians, 380 employees and 75 volunteers serving the community.

Athens Outpatient Services offer Outpatient Surgery, Diagnostic Imaging and X-Ray, Cardiology Testing, Physical Therapy, and Sleep Studies.  It is managed by Athens Medical Group, a multi-specialty physician group serving Montgomery and surrounding counties with 132 employees.  Athens Medical Group consists of 16 physicians and 5 nurse practitioners who have over 150 combined years of experience in Primary Care, Internal Medicine, Orthopedic Surgery, General Surgery, OB/GYN and Ear, Nose & Throat specialties.

Recreation:

Shades State Park and Turkey Run State Park, located in Montgomery County, offers swimming, biking, boating, camping, hiking, fishing and a nature preserve center. Crawfordsville’s Milligan Park provides swimming, picnic areas, and playgrounds.

Montgomery County supports museums, libraries, institutes, festivals, tours, a recreational center with pool, boys and girls club, three public golf courses, a private country club, adult softball facilities, and Sugar Creek Canoeing and Hiking. 

Some well known events are The Taste of Montgomery County, Strawberry Festival, and The Grand National Cross County ATV and Dirt Bike Race. Myers Dinner Theatre, Wabash Theater, and Sugar Creek Players Vanity Theater all provide the community with year round arts and entertainment.
